Peace Offering is a Bant group hug deck that weaponizes generosity.

Full archetype

Ms. Bumbleflower turns every spell you cast into a bribe: a chosen opponent draws a card while one of your creatures gets a +1/+1 counter and flying for the turn, and the second trigger each turn draws you two cards. The deck showers the table with cards and Treasures, then wins through a swelling flying board, Psychosis Crawler drain, or a Simic Ascendancy counter win.

01 // Play guide

How it plays.

Core game plan

Spend the early turns on rocks and dorks: Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone, Mind Stone, Thought Vessel, Coiling Oracle, and Faeburrow Elder, plus Farseek and Cultivate to lock in all three colors. Land Ms. Bumbleflower on turn three or four and start double-spelling: every spell gifts an opponent a card and grows a flier, and the second trigger in a turn draws you two, so two cheap spells a turn is the deck's heartbeat, and instants cast on opponents' turns count. Deploy draw payoffs before your big refill turns so Secret Rendezvous, Intellectual Offering, Sphinx of Enlightenment, and Kwain, Itinerant Meddler also feed Psychosis Crawler, Chasm Skulker, Jolrael, and Hoofprints of the Stag. The gifts themselves get weaponized: Sunscorch Regent, Managorger Hydra, Forgotten Ancient, and Steelburr Champion grow every time the table spends the cards you handed out, and Mangara, the Diplomat draws you more when opponents cast their second spell each turn. Mr. Foxglove punishes the full hands you created, drawing cards equal to the defender's hand size minus yours when he attacks. Stay alive with Baird, Spore Frog, Riot Control, Illusionist's Gambit, and Promise of Loyalty while the engines run, then close with a Kalonian Hydra attack that doubles every counter you have spread, ride Simic Ascendancy to twenty growth counters, or steal a win with Twenty-Toed Toad or Triskaidekaphile off a Reliquary Tower hand.

Key cards

Combos and synergies

Mulligan

Keep
  • Two to three lands with an early rock or dork (Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone, Coiling Oracle) so Ms. Bumbleflower lands on turn three.
  • A hand that covers all three colors and can cast two cheap spells a turn once the commander is out.
  • A draw payoff (Psychosis Crawler, Chasm Skulker, Jolrael, Hoofprints of the Stag) plus the ramp to reach it.
  • A protective piece (Baird, Spore Frog, Swiftfoot Boots) alongside early ramp if the pod looks aggressive.
Ship back
  • One-or-zero land hands, or five-plus lands with no rock, dork, or cheap spell.
  • Hands that are all group hug with no payoff, since pure generosity just arms the table.
  • Color-locked hands that cannot produce {G}, {W}, and {U} by turn four.

Lines and sequencing

Pilot difficulty

Intermediate. The individual cards are simple, but every Bumbleflower trigger is a political decision about who gets a card, the deck defends with fogs and taxes rather than blockers, and you have to know which of the three win routes you are actually on before you start handing out ammunition.
